A
harpsichordist from Bologna, she studied pianoforte with A.Babini
and harpsichord with A.Conti at the G.B.Martini Conservtory of Bologna.
She then followed the courses of Kenneth Gilbert at the Accademia
Chigiana of Siena and was admitted to the Mozarteum of Salzburg in
the class taught by Gilbert, with whom she studied until 1993. |
Giovanna Losco obtained
a degree in law with the highest marks possible and then dedicated herself
to concert playing. With the Associazione Musicaper of Bologna she has also
been involved in the planning and organisation of important musical events.
With the 'Ensemble J.M.Anciuti' and the oboe player Paolo Pollastri, Giovanna
Losco has been engaged in concert and recording work. In 1995 and 1997 she
played as a soloist at the side of K.Gilbert, L.Alvini, and R.Laganą's J.S.Bach's
'Concertos for 1,2,3,4 Harpsichords and Strings' for some of the most important
Italian musical groups. She is responsible for the 'Basso Continuo' section
of the review 'Hortus Musicus'.
